An extensive two-month cruise around the Land Down Under is being halted in the wake of the tragic passing of an older lady who was stranded by the vessel on a remote tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the group for a rest. The liner sailed away leaving her and went back later that day after the crew became aware the lady was missing.

A major search operation discovered her person the next day.

Investigative bodies are looking into the event, together with law enforcement and the medical examiner.
