The Spanish giants brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold with a multi-year deal

Trent Alexander-Arnold's recovery is advancing well, raising possibility that the Real Madrid defender might recover in time to confront his former club Liverpool in November's Champions League tie.

The 27-year-old international experienced a hamstring strain while playing against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the group stage of the tournament on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the pitch in the early stages, with early indications pointing to a possible layoff of around six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to face Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League fixture—precisely seven weeks after the injury happened.

Insiders close to the situation state that the defender's healing process is progressing well, and there is hope that Alexander-Arnold could make his initial appearance to Liverpool's stadium since signing for Los Blancos in the summer.

A lifelong Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold earlier stated that leaving the club he joined as a young academy player was the "most difficult decision he has ever made."

During his time with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated over 350 appearances, helping secure multiple English top-flight titles, a European Cup, and the domestic cup.

Since his transfer to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has appeared on five occasions in various tournaments, accumulating over two and a half hours of action.
